David Connor

Professional experience

David is General Counsel of Nomura Asset Management International. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s legal department globally. He joined Nomura Asset Management as part of Nomura’s acquisition of Macquarie Asset Management’s US and European public investments business in 2025.

Previously, David was General Counsel at Macquarie Asset Management, Public Investments. Prior to 2015, David was Deputy General Counsel at Macquarie Asset Management, Public Investments, and, before that, at Delaware Investments (which was acquired by Macquarie in 2010). He has more than 35 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Delaware Investments in 2000, David was in the legal department for the asset management division of Prudential Financial. Before that, he was an attorney with the law firm of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where he focused on investment management law. 

David serves on the board of Settlement Music School in Philadelphia.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and German from Washington and Lee University and a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
