Linda Bakhshian

Professional experience

Linda is Chief Investment Officer of Equities at Nomura Asset Management International. She leads the firm’s global equities business, with overall responsibility for performance and governance of the individual teams, and for the centralized investment platform, including trading, risk management, sustainability, and product development. She joined Nomura Asset Management as part of Nomura’s acquisition of Macquarie Asset Management’s US and European public investments business in 2025. Linda is a member of the Nomura Asset Management International Executive Committee.

Previously, she was Deputy Head of Equities & Multi-Asset at Nomura Asset Management International and, before that, at Macquarie Asset Management. She has more than 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2023, Linda worked at Federated Hermes, where she served as a Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of the Value Income Team and Multi-Asset Group. In that role, she was responsible for investment strategy, asset allocation, and equity security selection of various portfolios. Linda has managed investment portfolios since 2009. Before that, she was a Senior Investment Analyst with Principal Financial Group and an Investment Analyst with Bankers Trust Australia.

Linda serves on the Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Linda earned a Bachelor of Business from the University of New England (Australia). She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
