Nomura Climate Solutions Fund invests in global equities seeking to close the emissions gap. It targets reducers (companies cutting their own emissions) and facilitators (enabling others' reductions), a dual approach providing differentiation from typical climate funds.
Climate solutions fund
Invests in global equities companies reducing, displacing, or sequestering GHG emissions or enabling others to do so
With a focus on returns
Emphasis on selecting companies with perceived attractive risk-return profiles
Multi-expertise team
Using both investment and sustainability expertise, the team strives to satisfy dual societal and investment objectives
Climate solutions represent a major economic opportunity. Global clean energy investment nearly doubled that of fossil fuels in 2024 and must double again by 2030 (IEA).
Targets companies reducing emissions or enabling others to do so, a dual approach aligned with the Paris Agreement, while seeking to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns.
A bespoke, dual approach aims to align clients’ investments with their values without sacrificing financial returns.
Invests in reducers and facilitators, high emitters actively cutting emissions and businesses enabling others' cuts, respectively.
Invests in companies making significant reductions in utilities, energy, materials, and industrials – a different approach compared to peers avoiding carbon-intensive sectors.
Active engagement tracks progress and the multidisciplinary team requires unanimous climate and financial approval for investments.

The performance quoted represents past performance and does not guarantee future results. Investment return and principal value of an investment will fluctuate so that shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Current performance may be lower or higher than the performance quoted.
Total returns may reflect waivers and/or expense reimbursements by the manager and/or distributor (as applicable) for some or all of the periods shown. Performance would have been lower without such waivers and reimbursements.
Returns for less than one year are not annualized.
Index performance returns do not reflect any management fees, transaction costs, or expenses. Indices are unmanaged and one cannot invest directly in an index.
Performance at NAV assumes that no front-end sales charge applied or the investment was not redeemed. Performance at offer assumes that a front-end sales charge applied to the extent applicable.
Performance at NAV assumes that no contingent deferred sales charge applied or the investment was not redeemed. Performance at max offer price assumes that a contingent deferred sales charge applied to the extent applicable.
Class C shares redeemed within one year of purchase are subject to a 1.00% contingent deferred sales charge (CDSC). Class C shares are eligible to automatically convert to Class A shares with a lower 12b-1 fee approximately eight years after you buy Class C shares.

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal.
A fund or strategy that holds a limited number of securities may be more sensitive to the price fluctuations of a single security in its portfolio and may be more volatile than a fund or strategy that holds a greater number of securities.
International investing (particularly in emerging markets) may be adversely affected by political instability; changes in currency exchange rates; inefficient markets and higher transaction costs; foreign economic conditions; the imposition of economic or trade sanctions; or inadequate or different regulatory and accounting standards. Investing in emerging markets involves greater risk than investing in more developed foreign markets because, among other things, emerging markets may have less stable political and economic environments, information about issuers may be less available or of a lesser quality, and securities markets may be smaller, less liquid, and subject to greater price volatility.
Using ESG criteria in the investment process may exclude certain companies for non-investment reasons and, therefore, the Fund may forgo some market opportunities available to funds that do not use ESG factors. In addition, because company greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data are not standardized (and are further subject to estimation error when not company-reported), the data sets the Fund must rely on may imperfectly represent companies’ true GHG emissions. Also, the company emissions targets that the Manager sets are based on model assumptions and estimations that carry the inherent risk associated with any modelling or estimating process.
Securities in the energy sector may be subject to price fluctuations due to various factors including real and perceived inflationary trends and political developments, the cost assumed in complying with environmental safety regulations, demand of energy fuels, energy conservation, the success of exploration projects, and governmental regulations.
The Fund has the flexibility to invest as much as 50% of its assets in as few as two issuers with no single issuer accounting for more than 25% of the portfolio. The remaining 50% of its assets must be diversified so that no more than 5% of its assets are invested in the securities of a single issuer. Because a non-diversified portfolio may invest its assets in fewer issuers, the value of its shares may increase or decrease more rapidly than if it were fully diversified.
The performance of IPOs can be volatile and the positive effect of investments in IPOs may not be sustainable over time.
